Why January birthdays sometimes switch animals

Lunar New Year timing and why your Chinese sign might surprise you.

Chinese New Year falls between late January and mid-February. If you were born in that window, the animal year may already have changed — or not yet.

AstroDual looks up historical Lunar New Year dates so “Year of the Dragon” is not guessed from the Gregorian year alone.

If online calculators disagree, check whether they use Jan 1 or the actual lunar boundary.

Element (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) follows a ten-year stem cycle and pairs with your animal for extra color.
